The Arctic Haven Studio name comes from the intersection of the harshness of wild Alaska and the warmth of our community. Even in this rugged terrain, we are always amazed at how wildlife carves out homes for themselves: the arctic fox in its den of snow, the mountain goat on its cliffs, the grayling in the bend of the racing river. For us, the wild places of Alaska are a sanctuary to retreat from the tumult of everyday things, to reconnect with the pulse of life, and to ground ourselves in “the peace of wild things” (Wendall Berry).

Arctic Haven Studio is the tangible expression of our relationship with the landscape and other people. Our artwork is inspired by the interconnectedness and intentionality of the natural world - values we try to carry forward in our relationships. We hope our notecards and other pieces are a reminder to seek that place of sanctuary for yourself, and to connect with the people in your life with purpose.

In keeping with these values and goals, we integrate sustainability and responsible sourcing into every step of our creative process, including recycled and recyclable mailing materials and recycled paper.
