Life in Alaska is governed by the pulse of the seasons. Bitter cold and darkness in the winter mean that all life - animals, plants, and people - have to find ways to adapt to survive, while 24-hour sunlight in the summer produces abundance. The Arctic Seasons notecard set reflects this cycle, with a highly-adapted Alaskan animal depicted in each season. Each piece was created from hundreds of hand-cut pieces of paper, meticulously arranged over many hours.
